I have been working at ArthroCare

Pros

Great staff willing and interested in the company. Great products. Wonderful work environment.
Doctors want our products and they are in demand.

Cons

Senior management lacks leadership and communication skills. Staff are left in the dark. Little communication from the USA to International markets. Senior management are all friends, have no idea how the rest of the organization works.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your staff doesn't believe in you- not in the USA and not throughout the world. Give them something to believe in. Strive for something, a little better and more concrete. You could really have a wonderful company, but doesn't seem like you really care to get your hands dirty.

I have been working at ArthroCare

    Pros

Imaginative products and procedures available to doctors. Far reaching implications for surgical health care.

    Cons

Not responsive to physician requests for upgrades, product improvements, special designs or modifications to promote ease of use. Not responsive to recommendations of sales force. Slow to get products to market fully tested and glitch-free. No plans to support Orthopedic Residency programs and recruit younger physicians. No adequate Physician training venues in an easily accessed facility. No Nationally ranked physician champions to recruit other physicians. No long term follow up studies available for highly sold products. No adequate failure hot-line or reporting system. Under-Trained, Non-Responsive and Incompetent customer service reps.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If failure or design problems are known to management, why not share them with field sales so as to prepare them for the worst. Corporate support needed at the University level for entry Physician/ Surgeons.
