I have been working at Asce

Pros

With felxible hours and low work load it is good place esp. if you are not career oriented and care less for growth.
Excellent Benefit package and training as you need.

Cons

Low salary,Office politics and favoritism is around here everywhere. There is no hierarchies in the department, so you end being at the same position for years and years which is accompanied by marginal salary growth which does not depend on what you do or how you do. Its distributed evenly.

No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Work life balance and great staff.

    Cons

Low salaries compared to other non profits. Raises are within a small percentage range where hard work doesn't provide any additional monetary reward. Slack off and you get just as much as your hardworking colleague.

I have been working at Asce full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    - flexible schedule
    - nice coworkers
    - good benefits and members
    - easy commute from the fairfax area
    - good work/ life balance
    - reasonable job expectations

    Cons

    - lower than average pay
    - marginal pay increases and inconsistent bonuses
    - political leadership
    - low opportunities for professional growth
    - favoritism
    - it is more of a job than a career, which isn't necessarily a con, but could quickly become one if you are looking for a career path.
