Pros

Generous financial compensation and benefit options. Opportunity for advancement is available even if slow to offer and with poor incentive.

Cons

Command-and-control leadership drains off ambition, especially when dictated methods only serve to hinder efficiency. Very little openness to meaningful collaboration.

Advice to Management

More effective communication and transparency between departments would provide for less internal bureaucracy and red tape which would streamline work-flow.

    Pros

    Cutting-edge technology and equipment, good & comfortable work environment, knowledgeable & nice co-workers, unified team effort, 24-7 365 facility so there are always shifts available.

    Cons

    Corporate higher ups are not in the trenches working alongside the frontline. If they do they are only in passing. The bean counters do not appear to be looking any further then beyond the next quarter. It appears to be all about the money & profit as opposed to the people and the services offered. Maybe the higher-ups could take pay cuts so that there wouldn't have to be layoffs.

    Advice to Management

    We don't work for you, we work with you. Get out to the frontline and see what people need personally and work-wise. Stop with this whole cheaper faster bottom line approach.

    Pros

    Joined the company when it was a lot smaller, two layers away from the CEO Interesting opportunities to work with global clients and international projects Leading edge on new media technology, some really good developers Trying hard to position itself for the future Some really good clients with respectful relationships

    Cons

    Left the company when it was a lot bigger, promoted twice and now four layers away from CEO Many really disrepectful clients with overblown expectations (and egos) made some relationships beyond repair and led to very little job satisfaction At one stage there were six former senior management "put out to grass" with over $3M in remuneration all for various levels of incompetence, having fired a bunch of good people before being found out. Cost savings made after contracts had been signed resulted in not enough resources to deliver requirements Took a long while to work out that The American Way doesn't work outside America

    Advice to Management

    Listen to the people who work with the clients daily, Put some joy back into what should be a creative industry
