I have been working at Ashford University full-time (more than an year)

Pros

has given me a paycheck for over a year

Cons

everything else. They try to make you work Saturdays and tell you it will be notated if you do not. They constantly change your scheduled hours of work and managers lie to your face.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

better training and people skills. not everyone wants or deserves to go to college.

I worked at Ashford University full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

People you meet & help. Loved my students however managers always pushed for more, PTO and benefits were about what's expected for a college graduate

    Cons

Managers always want more, never felt a sense of satisfaction. Saw friends laid off that were great at the job however were not "meeting expectations" which were set at an absurdely high level. Resources (leads) provided are not interested, may speak with 1 in 100 people who are, then you're competing against many other schools that are able to offer benefits you can't due to costs, accessibility etc.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more for the stress you put your employees through. Schedule (at minimum) activities & events for employees what they don't have to pay for/spend their personal time outside of work to participate at. Cube definitely feels like a prison cell after the first month.

I have been working at Ashford University full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great people (co-workers), good sales training, nice benefits.

    Cons

High pressure sales environment. Inconsistent goals for meeting enrollment objectives. They want you to enroll anybody even if they are not college material.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop putting too much emphasis on enrolling any student with a pulse and put more emphasis on student support. Focus more on recruiting/enrolling quality students over quantity then you won't have to worry about high dropout rates.
