Outside of Admissions, Not a Bad Place to Work

Admissions Operations Coordinator (Former Employee) San Diego, CA

ProsLots of training/professional development.
All kind of awesome benefits (gym, fitness classes, cafeteria, free school).
Young, lively company.
Some positions are really easy work.

ConsAdmissions is a completely different world with lots of pressure.
You may wonder if you're doing the right thing for the students.
Have to deal with morons/unethical people on a near daily basis.
University is not in a good place right now with WASC denial and lawsuits.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Admissions Counselor (Former Employee) San Diego, CA

I worked at Ashford University full-time for less than a year

Pros: Get to do things on your own for the most… Cons: Company will lay you off with no warning, no problem. Advice to Senior Management: Go back to school. Ashford is in trouble. You know you're gonna get demoted like all the other Managers just way. Hope… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
