Typically good for those new to the work place, new college graduates, or those who lack ambition!

I have been working at Ashford University full-time for more than a year

Pros

Perks free education, business casual work environment. If you like to work individually without too much interaction from team you have the perfect place.

Cons

Not a very welcoming place. No camaraderie within the department, just not an overall pleasant work environment. Feel sorry for new hires that come in, no real direction for them. Questionable business practices, ethics, morals, and values.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have a great manager...however, that does not apply for all.. Many lack the proper etiquette, management and leadership skills. My manager is compassionate but only because of their undergraduate experience and internship.

I worked at Ashford University full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Lots of training/professional development.
All kind of awesome benefits (gym, fitness classes, cafeteria, free school).
    Young, lively company.
Some positions are really easy work.

    Cons

Admissions is a completely different world with lots of pressure.
You may wonder if you're doing the right thing for the students.
Have to deal with morons/unethical people on a near daily basis.
University is not in a good place right now with WASC denial and lawsuits.

I worked at Ashford University full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Get to do things on your own for the most part.

    Cons

Company will lay you off with no warning, no problem.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Go back to school. Ashford is in trouble. You know you're gonna get demoted like all the other Managers just way. Hope you have a back up job lined up because Ashford isn't going to be around much longer with all the trouble they're in.
