    Pros

Free education for those who are able to stay long enough to finish.

    Cons

Everything else. The culture changed weekly and not for the better. Sketchy managers and a leadership team who could not figure out who they wanted to be or how they wanted to run the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ashford University hired a lot of talented people and wasted all the talent they had. They offered some continual trainings but most of the managers wouldn't let team members participate. Get real and figure it out. Be honest with your employees, set real expectations then commit to helping your employees reach them.

    Pros

The people you work with is all you have on a day to day basis. Benefits are unbelievable (full benefits). Typically you can choose when you come in and when you leave work as well.

    Cons

Management is quite incompetent. People are given raises in regards to how well they can drink the cool aid (they tend to be kindergarten/preschool teachers and treat their employees as such). In my opinion movement and advancement is stagnant due to stocks plummeting and potential accreditation issues. They have since took all employees freedoms away and the workplace is an unhappy one. People tend to gossip a lot and I can not reiterate how incompetent management truly is. Many people on the floor who came from previous jobs e.g. enterprise rent a car had more experience than the majority of the current managers. In my opinion the focal point was not to truly help students more of how to retain them even if it was not fitting to make a profit. The only reason I am giving the work/life balance 3 stars is due to the stresses of the environment and the job, the hours are great and work well for you but this job does come home with you. I had numerous panic attacks while on the job. I have left and found new work and get calls from people begging for help while expressing misery in their current situation with Ashford.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you aren't going to treat your employees like adults and work toward finding logical solutions to the divisions problems step aside. Realize this is a business (for profit education) not a preschool or kindergarten class, if you are not able to handle your responsibilities as such, step aside...
