I have been working at Ashford University full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people! The people they hire are awesome, fun, outgoing, they make the job workable. The location, the Denver location is amazing on 16th street-lots of lunch places & happy hours. That you can get by hardly working.

    Cons

The place is churn and burn environment, if you are top you are untouchable if not get ready for unemployment. As a team lead and someone who always hit numbers I loved it, but the politics of upper management make the place a hot mess.

    Advice to Management

Get your story straight. Stop hiring or promoting your clique of friends who have lack luster talent.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Ashford University full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free education for those who are able to stay long enough to finish.

    Cons

Everything else. The culture changed weekly and not for the better. Sketchy managers and a leadership team who could not figure out who they wanted to be or how they wanted to run the company.

    Advice to Management

Ashford University hired a lot of talented people and wasted all the talent they had. They offered some continual trainings but most of the managers wouldn't let team members participate. Get real and figure it out. Be honest with your employees, set real expectations then commit to helping your employees reach them.
