Fun at work without Innovation and sustainability

Software Engineer (Current Employee) Oakland, CA

ProsNew tools and technologies are being used since they keep creating new products. The office environment looks good and very close to BART. You will see flexible environment and very good work environment.

ConsThey always lose talented employees and relying on contractors, Because few contractors(US SEM Lead) own the entire responsibility and they don't hear / share knowledge with Full time employees. Over the period, the Full time employee becomes powerless and goes out.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou need to have the control, i don't want to work UNDER contractor.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Met some great people, but they are overshadowed by poor management and VP level cliques.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Oakland, CA

I worked at Ask.com full-time for more than 5 years

Pros: - A decent stepping stone. Get your feet wet in the industry, but don't stay too… Cons: - Cliques. - No room for growth unless you are VP level or above. It is completely demoralizing being treated like a 2nd class citizen.… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
