I worked at Aspect Software full-time for more than a year

Pros

If you are new to the field of telecommunications and call centers , Aspect has a lot to offer you, technically.

Cons

Not a very open environment. Interdepartmental communication and knowledge exchange is virtually non existent ( as is with most large companies). Way to many Silos..

Zero vertical growth, despite performing consistently. This is true of the India center.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cut down on the politics. Be open to your employees in deeds and not just in words. Recognize and train talent.

    I worked at Aspect Software full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Compensation was fair and commute from 95 is easy

    Cons

    Employees are not motivated. Many employees have been at the company for a number of years and get by doing the bare minimum. Typical employees show up at 8 or 8:30 and run out the door by 4:30-5. No one enjoys working, employees talk trash about each other and their managers constantly. Overall I would recommend you stay away from this company, unless you absolutely need a job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    New CEO and CFO need to weed out senior managers. Certain Directors show zero respect to employees and lack qualifications for their positions. Just because someone has been with a company for 10 years does not make them qualified to be a manager or director. Reinstate reviews and seek feedback from employees on their managers.

    I have been working at Aspect Software full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    The people are wonderful. I've been treated like family there.

    Cons

    Little to no growth, and large debt owed to private equity owner makes for wages that do not keep pace with contributions. Constant money worries cause management to make numbers by cutting staff, instead of a healthy model where the company profits drive decisions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Adopt a long term view of growing the company.
