Very quirky, incredibly high turnover rate

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
Burlington, MA

Pros-Interesting products
-Some of the nicest people I have ever worked with (individual contributors and middle managers)
-pay is good

Cons-very VP heavy and they micro-manage like crazy
-Highest turnover rate I've ever seen.
-No ability to work flex time or remotely.
-no work/life balance. For some teams, even sick days are frowned upon and lunch meetings ensure that you don't have a free hour in the day.
-a lot of bait and switch with new hires. Hiring into one role or location and then changing those things once they start.

Advice to Senior ManagementThey tend to not be open to any perspective other than their own, so changing that might be a good start. Looking at why they have such aggressive turnover would be another. I have never seen so few people make it to their second year at a company. It seems like if you weren't there 10 years ago, you aren't going to be able to hack it.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

    A good alternative to unemployment

Pros: -Stock performance has been great -Pay at higher levels is competitive Cons: -It's tough to find the words for how much animosity exists within the 4 walls of Aspen. With rare exception, executive management has total mistrust… Advice to Senior Management: -A CEO who guides a company out of a very bad situation is not necessarily going to be the best candidate to accelerate growth and… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
