A typical Alaskan Native Corporation

Safety (Former Employee) Anchorage, AK

ProsMany jobs.
Decent but not top pay.

ConsHighly susceptible to boom/bust industries like oil & gas and federal contracting economic and/or political influences.
High employee turnover rate.
Preference for native hire is frequently counterproductive to attracting and keeping the best and the brightest.
Poor or no succession planning.
Weak incapable leadership and non-existent accountability for top-level executives.
