Pros

There is no company more concerned with accuracy.

Cons

Miserable pay, variable management, disregard for personal lives and human needs.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow employees more schedule flexibility, better pay, more respect; peer-to-peer camaraderie makes up for a lot of benign neglect and poor direction from above.

Some very smart people, but many clinging to old ways/era; Earning potential grim

    Pros

Management attuned to need for work/life balance; some interesting issues to work on; opportunity to be part of change; generous leave benefits

    Cons

Salary growth is nonexistent; no clear path for advancement; minimal training opportunities so skills can languish; union environment contentious and resistant to change; many long-time employees too stuck in past era and resting on old ways of doing things

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Salaries are below-market, which makes it impossible to imagine staying for the long-haul. If you can't offer better compensation, then you should be actively mentoring employees to expand their skills and job satisfaction. Right now the enterprise is too lean to allow anyone the time/space to learn other aspects of the organization. This is short-sighted.
