Pros

Employees can elect to NOT to pay Social Security (6.1%). That is an automatic 6.1% raise that you can put towards your 401k or take home.
Great profit sharing and pension plan
All medical benefits are great and at very low cost. $160 per month for a family of 4
Campus is big and near the University of Utah.
The It department is well organized and the software they are creating is top of the line

Cons

The salary is not top of the market (due to the good benefits)
Very small chance of moving up.

Advice to Management

Do not be afraid to let go of people that have a record of obstructing progress and are bad programmers.

    Pros

    Not much any more.
    Wellness center
    Family Health Clinic

    Cons

Building up the top and cutting the bottom.
    No longer respects employees.
Works around law to play favorites.
Not honest with employees and does not practice fairness.
Focuses on management, rather than key players in productivity.
Forgets about patient care more often, than not.

    Advice to Management

Compare before and after variables (Kjeldsberg vs. Ashwood).
Share employee satisfaction survey results with employees, even if data are not good.
Be honest and fair, remember the ARUP Culture.

    Pros

People I worked with were awesome. Good benefits and rewards for getting in shape. Employees are treated well and are the first priority.

    Cons

Some of the entry-level jobs make it hard to expand your career. Not a lot of opportunity for job growth.

    Advice to Management

No real complaints about the management. Situations were handled effectively, and it feels like management definitely cares about its employees.
