As an intern, it was a fantastic experience to learn about what an Actuary does.

    Pros

Peers are good people to work with.
If you're desperate for a job and can get one here, you could do worse.
    Benefits are adequate.

    Cons

    Poor Management of people.
Not a place for innovative thinking. In fact there are active mechanisms in place to punish people who think outside the box.
Taking advantage of economy to demand 50 hours/week of people.

    Advice to Management

I would advise Management to learn how to manage people, but that advice would fall on deaf ears. This is because success in the company is based on your political astuteness, not your competence or people management skills.

  2. company has lost much momentum and focus since IPO and SEC issues and shift in credit cycle
