Neutral Outlook

I worked at Atlanta Medical Center full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

The pay and benefits are ok.

Cons

Not able to move up in the organization unless you report other employees or are buddy buddy with management. Company does not favor education. Weighs online degrees heavily. Does not listen to staff. Unsafe working conditions at times with no ancillary support.

Advice to Management

Stop hiring your friends as mangers. Sometimes you have to hire managers from the outside and not within...the same, stale work culture stays the same. Some of your best employees are not managers. Online degrees are subpar to traditional degrees.

I have been working at Atlanta Medical Center part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Family oriented. My unit has flexible scheduling which is great.

    Cons

We sometimes fuss like families do. Not paid enough for my experience.

    Advice to Management

Communicate in a better tone. Show no favoritism.

  2. The experience wasn't bad but management is horrible.

    Pros

I love the 12 hour shifts. I just wish the pay was better in the metro area with better sign-on bonuses.

    Cons

Being understaffed and working current employers like dogs. More people need to be hired unless more people will leave. We've had positions posted for 2 years and still no one has been hired. Instead they try to save money by working us to death. How are you saving money if we have to work overtime?

    Advice to Management

Get with it. If management isn't doing a good job there needs to be a cut. We would be cut with no problem or warning.
