I have been working at Atmel full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Good work / life balance. They do have deadlines but management will normally trust workers into getting them done. New building is pretty cool, very modern feel.

Cons

Hard to move up the corporate ladder. Getting promoted usually only comes if you have another job offer to leverage with them.

    - ATMEL offers a good training and development plans for their employees.
    - ATMEL enhances technical competencies of its employees.

    Cons

    - When you work at ATMEL you will sometimes feel that you're behind in other employees working in other companies in terms of salary and benefits.

    - I think the management should improve the salary and benefits to their employees so that they will not feel left behind to other employees from other companies.

    Time flexibility and exposure to technical and engineering work.

    Benefit package. No performance incentive so the set target KPis are not driven very well.
