Pros

Lots of room to show initiative and come up with good ideas
A very broad range of activities and services

Cons

Management by spreadsheet, with very short-term goals
Complete unwillingness to invest in anything with a return of over a few months

Advice to Senior Management

Develop some strategy, that is more than about money, and convey it to the troops, and then keep on doing so
