Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire CAD programmers to ease the load of the engineers and let the engineers do what they're trained to... design, analyze, and build!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recently employees have been feeling the pressure to perform efficiently. While this is certainly important, there are too many problems with the way efficiency is measured. Also there is the general sense that one mistake is going to cost some people thier job. This creates a very stressful working environment.

I worked at Aurora Flight Sciences as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

There is a great culture at Aurora, even as an intern I felt like I was contributing to the greater good of the company. Higher level engineers took time to help me learn new systems so I could excel at tasks during my internship. I was not given any busy work, rather I was given tasks that I felt were important and fulfilling.

    Cons

Location. I could not see myself living in the areas where the company is located, but that is just me. If you can see yourself living in Virginia or Boston, take a job with Aurora.
