I have been working at Aurora University

Pros

The class sizes are small enough to be able to interact with classmates and the teachers. The teachers are friendly and they are always willing to help, no matter the problem. Amazing fun and great environment.

Cons

I cant think of anything at the moment.

I worked at Aurora University full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Nice suburban location, nice students. Deans will work around most schedules.

    Cons

There are a lot of special interest groups with their own agenda to deal with and work around in the faculty and administration.

Not sure the annual review process is as fair as they pretend it to be. There is too much emphasis on service to the university and community. There is too much emphasis on public relations.

This school never shows up in any of the popular web site or magazine rankings, academically or otherwise.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop increasing student population and stop constructing buildings. Concentrate on working with students and faculty. Most of the administrators rarely talk with the faculty.
