Pros

Usually great coworkers who communicate effectively. 20 percent discount on most parts and goods. Great learning environment for getting your foot into the door for the automotive environment. Good knowledge base with coworkers. I used this job to hop into another automotive job that didn't revolve around selling parts. Happy about that.

Cons

Strict retention policy. 12 point system. 6 points for being more than an hour late on a weekend. Not great for anyone with attendance issues. Aggressive push to upsell or add-on to sale by the store manager, but zero Associate commission. Truck days are usually difficult. Lots of heavy lifting, sorting, and stocking. The day tends to start off strong, but usually thins out by the afternoon, leaving a handful of employees to put up the remaining pallets.

Advice to Management

Lower your standards on WITTGTJDR. CSRs are not paid commission so quit forcing them to upsale.

    Pros

    They have everything I need to customize and repair my car. The store is easy to navigate. They work with your school schedules very well.

    Cons

    One thing I do not like about AutoZone is the amount of time you have to wait before being attended to. And it doesn't help that the only employee with actually knowledge about cars is the manager.

    Advice to Management

    Hire more staff with knowledge about their work.
