So much promise, but poor on execution.

I have been working at Autodesk full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The benefits are good. 401k, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Health Incentives. Employees are very bright. Diverse opportunities; you can work in Media and Entertainment, Consumer, Architecture, Engineering, etc. Lots of employees have been with the company for 10+ years. If you are looking to make a career with one company, this is potentially a good fit.

    Cons

Management doesn't seem to be held accountable for bad decisions. Customer relationships could be stronger. Middle management lacks focus and does not seem to push back on unreasonable or risky deadlines or overly ambitious features.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ask for feedback from your employees, and then LISTEN to that advice.

Autodesk seems to have forgotten that satisfied employees make the company successful

I have been working at Autodesk full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    Benefits
    Flexible work hours
    interesting people

    Cons

Culture shift from respecting employees, which in turn made them work harder, to ignoring employees input.
Long time employees often manged out
Employee Engagement no longer a priority (even though they say it is)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your teams. When presented with solicited feedback don't rationalize what you "don't" want to hear but take action to rectify the situation. That does not mean letting a team of senior employees go and keeping the ones that Upper Management likes. Keep employees based on performance and output not on the fact that higher ups like them.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
