I worked at Autodesk as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

All colleagues are very friendly. They help me a lot and I gain useful skills and experience. Also, the culture and environment there is wonderful.

    Cons

I do not think there are some cons for Autodesk. Other interns also feel happy to work for Autodesk and learnt a lot.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The management is relatively flexible and for interns, we are not pushed hard. Managers and mentors always encouraged me to try my best. So I have no specific advice.

Former Employee - Finance Manager in San Rafael, CA
Former Employee - Finance Manager in San Rafael, CA

I worked at Autodesk full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

reasonable compensation. Good ESPP program where they have two year minimum price lock down so if you are there long enough and the stock was super down in the past two years and now 3-4 times more then you will make good money out of ESPP (employee stock purchase program)

    Cons

Location - San Rafael is soooooo far from everything.
Flexibility - no flexibility, manager doesn't want you to work remotely.
People - no vision, not adapting to new ideas.
Unstable tools - every month/3 months they try new tools and wants to adapt to these tools. Finance is more involved in testing tools than working on numbers

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

HR should be involved more on a regular basis in getting feedbacks from employees about their respective managers.

Get finance tools straight and make it more stable than trying to use new tools every month.

Hire people with vision and ready to adapt to changes.
