    Pros

    - Coworkers (individual contributors) are a joy to work with. They are intelligent, understanding, and helpful.
    - Autodesk encourages a healthy work-life balance. Office hours are flexible, and as long as you fulfill your responsibilities on time, you are rarely questioned about how much time you spend at work.
    - Working from home as frequently as one day a week is an accepted norm.
    - Autodesk provides great health benefits.
    - All employees are eligible for a 6 week sabbatical (paid time off) every 4 years.

    Cons

    - Base salaries are less than competitor salaries.
    - The senior management is not very open about their immediate plans, long-term vision, or anything in-between. The management, in general, tends to have a secretive approach about everything.
    - Opportunities for promotion, leadership, knowledge growth or general career development are few and far between.

    Advice to Management

    - Your employees are your biggest asset. Work on keeping them motivated and satisfied.
    - When you promote employees as people managers, keep a check on their performance by asking for anonymous feedback from their direct and indirect reports. If certain people managers are not keeping their reports happy, give someone else a chance.
    - Autodesk is a market leader. Have a long-term vision for the direction of the company and the industries it serves, rather than playing catch-up with smaller competitors.
