Pros

Im still yet to come up with any. The industry is good however, the company was poorly organised and incompetent.

Cons

The pay is poor compared to other companies e.g, Honeywell, Alerton.
You are required to work over 45 hours a week for a mere 65k a year.
They hire you as a technician so they can pay you less and can avoid the appropriate penalty rates and allowances. But, charge you out to clients as electricians and get you do to electrical work.

This is fine if you were paid as any other electrician doing construction work, but you get short changed.

The company cars are Proton Jumbucks which are the least safest car sold in Australia. Not to mention the fact that they are impractical for their use, dangerous to drive in the wet and cause back pain to people who are over 5 ft tall.

No company training, anything that goes wrong is blamed on installation. Regardless that it was an engineering error or software/hardware problem.

Dont adhere to contract conditions and throw it in your face when it suits them.

Never pay on time or correct amounts.

Worst company i have ever worked for, my condolences to any future employees.

Advice to Management

Hire competent people and stop blaming everyone else.

Pay properly so people end up caring about their job.

Stop hiring useless apprentices to satisfy labor needs.

Have project managers actually come on to site, rather then send you emails all day and find excuses for why they cant.

    Pros

UTC owns it, and they'll pay 100% tuition for any major you want including mater's and PHDs even if it's not work related. And you don't have to sign any agreements to stay for a certain amount of time once the courses are finished.

    Cons

Not great health insurance...not great raises for hourly either...2-4% per year with no bonuses.

    Advice to Management

Great product...needs better health insurance and higher pay.

    Pros

    Fairly good product.
Branches all over the country in case you wanted to relocate.
    Decent college reimbursement program.

    Cons

Corporate leadership seems to be clueless. The same thing that happened to the once mighty Carrier service organization is happening to ALC.
Internal processes take way too long to deliver upon customers expectations.
Compensation packages changed pretty drastically thus reducing total compensation for several folks.

    Advice to Management

    Fire yourselves.
