Pros

If you have talent its a greatcompany, best technology unlimited rewards for the stars. Company is grwoing very fast and awards big opions grants to those that suceed. If youa re brifgr you will be surrounded by really smart people.

Cons

if you are mediocre or want 9-5 avoid this company, if you don't like a hot kitchen this is not for you. The company is on a mission and you are either on board or not. People here do amazing things and when there is a crunch hours can be long for a week or two.

Advice to Management

more training and as things are moving so fast it would be good to get more updates. Don't be told to put in more process keep it the fun place it is

    Une bonne technologie. Un réel potentiel en France, plus important que le marché appelé moteur de recherche.

    Acquisition par HP, qui ne sait pas ce qu'est la gestion de l'information. HP ne connaît pas le marché d'Autonomy. Cela deviendra une mauvaise acquisition, comme Palm ou EDS.

    De vieux produits (WCM, DAM, gestion de documents...) comparé à la concurrence et aux attentes des clients. Manque de recherche et développement.

    Mauvaise image auprès de nombreux clients français.

    Acquisition by HP which doesn't know what information management is. HP doesn't know the Autonomy market. Will become a bad acquisition like Palm or EDS.
    Old products (WCM, DAM, records management, ...) compared to competitors and customer requests. Lack of R&D.
    Bad image at many French customers.

    Advice to Management

    Recrutez des dirigeants appropriés, avec une formation en gestion de l'information, et non pas juste des dirigeants Excel. De cette façon, ils pourront déterminer la bonne stratégie pour Autonomy.

    Hire relevant managers with IM background, not only excel managers. This way, they'll be able to set the right strategy for Autonomy

    Pros

    Autonomys IDOL Technologie und die Produkte, die darum herum entwickelt wurden, sind wirklich wettbewerbsfähig, besonders rund um E-Discovery und die Lösungen zur Datenverwaltung. Ihr Marketing war immer sehr gut, fantastisches Material, gute Demos usw. Auch die Unterstützung durch die Pre-Sales-Abteilung war außergewöhnlich stark.

    Autonomy's IDOL technology and the products they built around it are really competitive, specifically around the E-Discovery and Information Managment Solutions. Their marketing had always been very good, fantastic material, good demos, etc. Also the support from the Pre-Sales department has been exceptionally strong.

    Cons

    Die Unternehmenskultur war die schlimmste, die mir je begegnet ist. Menschen wurden nur unter dem Gesichtspunkt von Zahlen betrachtet, das obere Management hörte niemals auf irgendetwas, das von jemandem gesagt wurde, der nicht zu ihrem "Club" gehörte (der z.B. zumindest aus Cambridge kam).     The corporate culture had been the worst I every experienced. People were purely looked at from a numbers perspective, senior management would never listen to anything they were told from somebody who was not part of their "club" (i.e. at least Cambridge based). Senior managers would regularly shout at employess, call them names, etc. - absolute nightmare

    Advice to Management

    Gott sei Dank hat das obere Management das Unternehmen vollständig verlassen, seit es von HP aufgekauft wurde. Das neue Management sollte den Mitarbeitern ganz klar mehr Respekt entgegen bringen. Außerdem drehte sich der "internationale" Ansatz ausschließlich um GB und die USA. Jeder andere Teil des Geschäfts (regional) wurde übersehen. Das Management sollte anderen Regionen viel mehr Aufmerksamkeit schenken, weil es dort unerschlossenes Potential gibt.

    thankfully the senior management has completely left since the acquisition by HP. The new management should clearly pay more respect to their employees. Also the "international" approach has been purely around the UK and the USA. Any other part of the business (regionally) was overlooked. Management should pay a lot more attention to other regions, since there is untapped potential.
