I have been working at Avaya full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

Avaya creates exciting technology, offers great benefits, and provides a telecommute friendly work environment for many job roles where it makes sense to work remote. Since we provide communication solutions to enable mobility and a remote workforce, Avaya has long been an adopter of the mentality that a distributed team of specialists can accomplish anything that an onsite team can tackle.

Cons

Pay could be better. In the economic downturn, bonuses have fallen off the norm. Also, Avaya is sometimes challenged by silo'd business groups and, until you build relationships across teams, it can be frustrating trying to get cross-functional team members to communicate more and take responsibility.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Release more apps to Apple Store to incent market adoption. Make technology dead simple - no excuses for complexity which will stifle adoption. Converge business org leadership to minimize silo's and force better cross-team work and quality.
