Pros

Fantastic salary, benefits, great co-workers, large company, growth, etc.

All companies struggle with profitability and where to find their profits.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would advise management to spend more on innovation and new products, as costs can only be reduced so far.

Former Employee - Post Sales Engineer

I worked at Avaya full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The salary provided is good and the Tier III engineering community in the US is strong.

    Cons

There is never any opportunity for career growth, either by way of new positions or in salary raises or bonuses.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in modern technology to stay current with the competition and invest in US based employee morale. Use your own latest release products inside the company. If Avaya will not use the latest release of their own PBX in production, that doesn't send a strong message to customers.

I have been working at Avaya full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

able to work from home if needed

    Cons

New Sr Management does not communicate to the organization, constant change with unclear directions, need to get projects done with out adequate staff and expertise, layoffs every quarter and no bonuses paid/no raises. Lots of people have left recently for better opportunities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate with the employees. When a new Sr Leader comes in he should hold departmental meetings with clear vision and continue to communicate with employees
