I worked at Aveda full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Decent discount, fairly fun staff, job was simple, customers were fun

    Cons

cliquey (especially between management and other Aveda staff from the school/upper management), pay not that great, i saw them "abuse" the 90 day trial period with a great employee bc she wanted to get a second job yet remain at Aveda bc she still really liked it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Monitor your regional managers as the ones I encountered seemed to either be on mind altering medications as she never remembered conversations we had either in person or over the phone.

I have been working at Aveda full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Great natural products, environment conscious, great training. I had a great superior and a lot of freedom to train my team and reach my goals.

    Cons

low salary, poor location, had to rebuild entire team. Had to leave to address a temporary health issue and ensured there was a replacement trained and ready for during my absence. I mistaken asked to be let go without cause because I felt it would be easier to come back.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When hiring, rethink the policy of rehiring people who were asked to be let go. I was amazing at my job and had to temporarily leave to address a health issue. They didn't let me come back.
