    Flying by the seat of their pants, and growing too fast. Failure to step back and plan, implies they are planning for failure or mediocrity.

    Local administrative management sets the tone of the facility, and the tone that was set was negative.

    I have been working at Avera McKennan Hospital full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Great staff. Previous CEO built a dynamic corporation

    Cons

    New CEO is weak. He is into PR but isn't a leader. Lots of promises to everyone but does not follow through. Last CEO not much on PR but built the system into the size it is and was an excellent leader.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Need to stop worrying about their job and do what is best for the system. Their goal is to keep their high paying job and not doing what is best for employees and the system as a whole.
