    I worked at Avery Dennison

    Pros

Lots of opportunity to move between divisions, if the desire is there. Career ladder was pretty well laid out and a good work/life balance was evident and respected.

    Cons

It seemed that in IT, if you did not want to end up in Corporate HQ, you could get 'stuck' at a divisional IT Manager level. Also, each division seemed like it's own company - one division could be cutting headcount to make quarterly numbers, but the guys across the street were popping champagne corks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Making quarterly numbers at a division level dictated many important decisions, especially for smaller divisions.

    Pros

relaxed culture....but hard working. Majority of people are good people who care about business and co-workers.

    Cons

Pay and promotions not clear or consistent

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote managers who understand that leading is a privilege and their role is to teach those around them to be better employees not to yell at them if they do not get what want.
