Disappointing

Manager (Current Employee) Iver, England (UK)

ProsWelcoming and hard-working colleagues
Sympathetic middle management
Good basic salary and competitive benefits package
Easy location to commute to and from

ConsVery low morale across the organisation
Unimpressive top level leadership, lacking in charisma and company vision
Annual redundancies
Working hours are stupid, worse than any organisation I've ever been at, and by some distance too
Lack of coherent vision between top and middle level management
Corporate guidance is infrequent, but when it does come it is usually sudden, 'urgent' and requires a complete change in direction or working practices, causing dislocation, confusion and stress

Advice to Senior ManagementObviously they're not in a very strong position, given the general stagnancy of the company and our reputation in the market place, but they have to do something to earn the loyalty of the employees. Currently no one really cares about the company and its future because the company has shown through successive redundancies, dysfunction recruitment and investment decisions, lack of recognition, etc, that it doesn't particularly care about the employees.

Currently anyone who leaves is genuinely congratulated with more than a hint of envy.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
