I have been working at Avis Budget Group part-time (less than a year)

Pros

flexible hours, and u get to drive new cars

Cons

pay is 8 dollars a hour, no benefits for part-time employees plus they don't wanna hire fulltime so they don't have to give them, ,co-workers don't work as a team, management doesn't care about nothing but getting the cars on the ready line, I see coworkers invading each other sexual space and that's against everthing they learned in training, if u clock in one min late that goes as a point twords u and if u get a certain Amount of points like 6 in your first 90 days u could be fired even if its one min late, they have no grace period or respect for people lives, a line of ppl could be waiting to clock on for 2oclock in the eveing and your scheduled to clock on at the same time as them, and your the last person to clock in and it was 2:01, they don't care they will give u a point, smh I mean it happen to me 3 times

Advice to ManagementAdvice

train your leads, make sure your management are looking out for their good and hard working employees, eliminate sexual harassment from the job and give part time workers an opportunity to progress, and give employees a 5min grace period

Enjoyed my time at ABG, but the new North American SLT is more concerned with appearances than results.

I worked at Avis Budget Group full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Fun job, great people. CEO Ron Nelson is a rock star who has led the company incredibly well and made genius acquisitions.

    Cons

The political environment in the North American group is unbelievable, Pres decides if he likes you or not and they boys take it from there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ditch the emphasis on politics and measure the individual, not how much they appear to agree with you.
