Because it's big company, it's a challenge to get a good grasp of what all the different departments do.

I have been working at Avista Utilities as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

Fun coworkers, and you are compensated well. Nerf gun wars, company picnics, and an awesome cafeteria. If you are a hard worker, and show dedication, you can move around in the company when new jobs open.

    Cons

Because Avista is so large, projects can move a little slow. Very little training, you have to be able to learn about the environment as you go.
