Pros

Work from home
You are your own boss
Flexible schedule
Personal website
For everyone who orders from your site, you get a percentage

Cons

The only thing I could think would be a downfall would be the possibility that you are open to scammers.

Advice to Management

When a representative says they were scammed, try to do something about it. If that means forgiving a debt, then that would be nice.

One of the worse run companies ever with staff to match

    Pros

none other than location of the NYC offices

    Cons

    - Back stabbing environment that starts at the top
    - As a leader, you have no say in what happens in your group or with your staff. You are told what to do and when to do it.
    - HR is a horror show. They have no sense of what is right and decent.
    - Its amazing they are still in business.

    Advice to Management

    - Look at your tenure of new hires and talent (that you probably paid a lot of money to attract) - most will leave in a year.
     - Wipe out HR and start over with caring individuals.
    - Really look into a buy out - it may be your only hope.

    Pros

Friendship of peer managers, compensation package fair, company car & gas

    Cons

Stress, pressure, unrealistic expectations, too many KPI's to manage, Leadership representatives not working up to standard and no accountability of their performance

    Advice to Management

Stop depending on the so called "leadership" representatives and throwing incentive after incentive after them - they are immune to it - they don't care - they will work when they feel like it yet you have given them ALL of the power, FMP would be great if rep were required to attend meetings and trainings. Stop blaming DSM's for Leaderships failures, failure of TL program, failure of AUL academy. You can not FORCE someone to be engaged in their business. Stop blaming US for their lack of work ethic. Giving away all the "Avon Leads" to Leadership reps has resulted in our Additions plan decreasing drastically. What does that tell you? They will get around to it when they feel like it. Our recourse? "Coach" them into understanding why they should do what is expected of them. Seriously? Our company is in free fall and you want to leave it to these folks to save it? Maybe when they are available they can help - usually I hear - someone is in the hospital, car broke down, computer is not working, kids are sick, dog needs surgery, kids are on spring break, the list goes on and on and on. I say MAKE them accountable and let us MANAGE instead of begging and pleading them to work. Focus on SALES more Leadership less...the numbers are not real, managers are placing appointments under reps downlines to keep their KPI's up. It is outrageous. I for one own NO AVON STOCK nor will I ever. This company is on it's way out due to Andrea Jung's management and senior management really thinking that leadership is the ONLY way at Avon. Since Leadership was implemented at Avon the company has plummeted. Now Coty wants to buy us...maybe they should. My only hope is that the new CEO will have the guts to get this mess straightened out. I for one have my resume out and can't wait to get out of here
