I worked at Avon Products part-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Its always exciting seeing and bringing new products to customers.

Cons

When items are shorted or your orders show up wrong. Its not often but can mess upyour earnings and invoices for awhile because its difficult to get straightened out. They are fast to correct it but still takes time to get your earnings from the mistakes.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Less backorders and shortages on products.

Former Employee - Marketing Coordinator in New York, NY

I worked at Avon Products full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

9-5 job. Can work from home if needed. Free samples occasionally.

    Cons

Poor management. Everyone is always changing their minds. There's never concrete decisions made. People are always switching positions or leaving the company. Hire experts in that area. Don't put someone that has no experience in that area in that position. Developing too many products and you end up with so much excess inventory. Why 26 campaigns? Why not 13 campaigns and sell great value product? There's meetings about a meeting about a meeting. It never ends! They put one person doing 3 to 4 jobs at once. All the North America offices needs to be more collaborative. Everything is always rushed at the last minute. None of the processes ever goes smoothly!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make better decisions. Hire more people. Stop having one person do three to four jobs at the same time!
