I worked at Ayco

Pros

Gives you great exposure to all facets of financial counseling, good on the job training, interesting work and very helpful internal resources/groups.

Cons

There tends to be a lot of office politics. Office is run by incompetent individuals who only appreciate you if you don't ask questions.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more attention to the regional office management, in particular how they manage the office and how they motivate employees.

I have been working at Ayco

    Pros

At the intern level, Ayco provides meaningful work within the field of finance, and does not relegate interns to mundane clerical work. There is much learning to be done at Ayco, where you have access to Bloomberg terminals and many other finance related tools and software. In addition, the Goldman Sachs name can't hurt on your resume.

    Cons

The work is not very intense or fast paced.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management should interact more with lower level workers. I think even newer workers can be of great benefit to senior management, and it might present more learning opportunities for the workers.

I have been working at Ayco

    Pros

Ayco is dedicated to training its employees, which is nice. Also, generally other employees are willing to help one another and there is a sense of teamwork.

    Cons

Compensation is low, morale is low, and the company is pinching every penny, so if you want good benefits you need to look elsewhere. Opportunities for advancement are more limited in the current business environment as well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    None.
