I have been working at BAE Systems USA full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

When the company is doing well the employees are treated fairly the department managers who manage do their best in taking care of their people. Kick back place to work at as well working for a great cause. Executive management is another story.

    Cons

Executive management seems to have no clue running BAE most of them need to work on their people skills to get the best from their people. Most of BAE employees have work way to long the average 30yrs. Some are collecting great retirement pay and still working for the company at the same time... Wow my Tax dollars at work. To improve BAE they need fresh people with vigorous ideas to be successful from here on.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Executive management; Listen to your lower level managers invite leads, one or two worker bees. (Smile) give them the freedom to speak, not doing so… only encourage what you want to hear not getting to the root of the problem.

Prompt within your department this marks you as a great Execute manager don’t stay stale this will reflect your department. Most of all… layoff the correct personal by listen to the direct manager recommendations.
