I worked at BAYADA Home Health Care full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The direct care employees who take care of clients.

    Cons

Money exceeds proper care of clients
Mission and vision are driven by a desire to make more and more money
Helping more and more clients can be translated getting more and more money
CNAs/HHAs, RNs and PTs are often disrespected and not heard
Very poor compensation for all except directors and some Clinical Managers
    Non-ethical
Poor image of company among staff

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If anyone cares, be honest, be involved, care for clients more than money, be ethical and do more work. Stop firing people so often, go visit a client or two weekly, be objective.

Talk to Mark Baiada about how his business model can be improved to increase compensation to the direct careworkers and the lousy 401k plan. Tell Mark no one wants to spend an Awards weekend chanting his name, watching him ride in on a motorcycle and drinking when we fought to get there in bad weather, paid for our plane ticket and cab ride to the airport and we only get paid $38,000 a year, but work 60-80 hours per week. No one wants to be told by their $120,000+ paid director, who works from 9a-3p, that they must attend this Awards weekend, or else. Bayada, really? Talk to Mark. He may listen to you. Question is: do you care enough to advocate for your "greatest asset", the employee?

How many folks who work for you stay? How many? Most of us continue on to actual great companies that care for people and pay extremely well with awesome retirement plans. Why don't you?

Bayada HHC makes other great companies look even better.

Quite frankly, very few have heard of Bayada. Hopefully, even less will ever have to.
