Compensation/Benefits are horrible but, the client care provided is typically excellent.

I have been working at BAYADA Home Health Care full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Great coworkers with high morale, awesome patients, company prides itself in compassion, excellence and reliability.

Cons

LOW PAY for the amount of hours and the quality expected for each employee's work, Benefits are awful, Management is not truthful at times and tell you what you wish to hear. Antique computer systems that fail you and reduce productivity. No raises are given unless you change positions (that goes for office or field employees).

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quality care is there for the client's but the employees are left to pay their bills on the high from awards weekend morale. Employees need compensation and good benefits. I was making enough to break even, forget saving, with low mileage compensation.

Unfair as far as health insurance benefits. Charging F/T workers P/T higher rate on their health insurance coverage.

Company does not operate by the values it claims to

Former Employee - Client Services Manager (CSM)

I worked at BAYADA Home Health Care full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

-Advancement opportunities seem plentiful for young professionals. Company is full of mid-to-late 20s directors making $100k+
-Opening new offices at a far greater pace than they are hiring qualified staff: if you are a high performer with a director/division director who recognizes this, you can have your own office within a year if you start as CSM, CM, or ALDP
-Helping clients who want to remain at home instead of moving into a facility

    Cons

    -Nepotism all over the place
-CSM salary structure (should be higher base salary guaranteed with less money based on a percentage of your case load's gross margin which can fluctuate wildly week-to-week if several clients are hospitalized/pass away at the same time)
-Workflow is completely unmanageable. There is plenty of money flowing into these offices. Hire more associates. Expecting CMs and CSMs to work 60+ hours a week (plus on call duties!) while directors and division directors work 10-20 hours a week less is a huge morale killer
    -401k is a joke.
-Management tells every office staff they hire they are on track to become a Director. Dangling the carrot to make employees burnout is a terrible business stragegy
-Outdated software (DOS-based system!!!) and use of technology in marketing (management encourages CSMs to drive business by utilizing "fax blasts" and other SPAM techniques)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Live the values you claim! If you claim that "Employees are our greatest asset" prove it with your actions! A CM with four children coming to Bayada waits almost 4 months to get health insurance coverage? The previously mentioned 401k and guaranteed salaries are a joke.
