Pros

One of the better performing, stable banks. Concerned about having the best employees. Benefits are good, sick time and vacation policies are good..

Cons

Lack of communication from upper management on key issues. Salary levels should be raised to be in line with national averages, and rasies should be more than they are.

Advice to Management

Work on communicating corporate strategy to lower level personnel, and work to get compensation in line with the rest of the nation.

    Pros

Great bank, good hours, federal holidays off, good employee benefits, opportunity for growth.

    Cons

Short staffing, causing every role at the branch level to handle multiple duties without increased pay, not able to take days off when you would like due to staffing, working your birthday if coverage is not available, lack of promotions in certain areas.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employee feedback and concerns of theirs. If the employees are happy, it is much easier to make our clients happy.

    Pros

Good Benefits, if you are just out of college the Leadership Development Program is a good path. At least it is a solid, conservative bank that will not be going out of business. Good values as expressed in regular speeches by upper managemen, the 10 core values.

    Cons

Management feels that 0-1% raises are good enough for most employees in almost every year, good or bad. They treat the LDP graduates as if they are made of gold wheras the typical employee is much lower valued. Very little communication on issues that might affect you. Do not live by the "justice" value when it comes to items like annual reviews, typically the grading scale is shifted down where if you perform to your job you are not getting an annual raise.

    Advice to Management

How about looking at theCPI and at least keeping employees close to inflation or even try to get them close to the amount that their benefits are going up.
