Its a great brand to work for
Nice offices

Cons

- lack of cohesion between departments
- deeply embedded in "blame culture"
- few pockets of experts that are not used, only the really smart staff that is resilient can stay for any period of time
- the BBC moves in its own world and has to connections to the outside world nor reality
- only friends of friends get promoted
- salaries are much lower than industry standards (over 40% lower)

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to and support the people who have experience and knowledge; treat people like people and not like animals. If you're going to bother to bring in talent that know what they're doing, let them do their jobs and don't let your insecurities ruin the potential of the business.

Good place to be if you want to be a one man band, don't come if you want to be a team player

    Pros

They are reasonably flexible with balancing work life balance. Some good individuals across the board

    Cons

The management doesn't seem to have a real goal or direction in mind. They don't seem to be able to adapt to changing media market. There is a lot of greed, people are very 'I' minded and don't want to work as a team.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They need to really look at how they communicate to employees. They need to get a real idea of what there strategy is and get some research to back it. The finger in the air approach is not working. Plus there is no point pushing sales when the market is tanking. That is the time to rethink ideas and hunker down and train up.
