I worked at BD full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Good pay, decent benefits, easy work

Cons

Politics! Management plays favorites, no work life/home life balance. Cares too much for how many parts you make less on quality of parts you make.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend some time and ACTUALLY listen to what your employees have to say. Some have amazing ideas but because we are just operators you shove us aside. Be a little more caring when it comes to personal maters. Some of us have families that we enjoy spending time with and you as a company somehow manage to ignore that fact.

I have been working at BD full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Actively focused on the future and transforming itself to be a leader in the life sciences industry. Tranformations are underway in multiple functions to posture itself for the next 10 years of growth which provides many opportunities within the company.

    Cons

Tends to plan more initiatives than can be accomplished with the available resources which causes priority conflicts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stay focused on the critical few strategic initiatives which are required to build the solid foundation for future growth and avoid overloading the organization with conflicting priorities.
