Pros

The pay, the excellent concept of the restaurant itself and management.

Cons

The corporate atmosphere that can detract from it being more of a personal atmosphere as a team member and guest.

Advice to Management

Listen to your trust-worthy team members, and do not nit-pick unnecessary things when overall performance is exceptional.

    Pros

Flexible hours, AWESOME scheduling system (seriously hotschedules is the best way for servers to be scheduled), the money is decent enough, and it's not hard to pick up extra shifts. Most of all is the company has heart, they give back to their employees in times of need

    Cons

Management rarely backs you up. Our GM is pretty cool now but our last one was only concerned about doing things the "gold standard" way when there was a district visit. Not a lot of consistency when it comes to management.

    Advice to Management

Take a good hard look at the company policies and remember that your employees are people, not robots, and if you treat them with respect and integrity you'll get the same right back.

Good Environment but Corporate structure changes policies too often

    Pros

    1. Great atmosphere
    2. Always busy
    3. I've seen a lot of servers move up
    4. Good food

    Cons

It's a good place to work sometimes but when the restaurant gets busy all the rules are thrown out the window. The managers will overload you with tables and then you are still held responsible for secret shoppers. It seems that corporate has no idea what it's like to serve tables. As a server you're required to suggest 2 beers, non alcoholic beers, an appetizer and ask if they are ready to order. This is all on the first visit to the table. With the size of the menu (huge menu) the customers look at you like you're stupid and sometimes are offended by you continuing on with your spiel. If you don't do these things they have a lot of secret shoppers who will doc off points for not saying something word for word. It's very unrealistic, especially when it gets busy and the managers just add tables or large parties to your section. If they tweaked a few things with the servers like the initial greet then their overall guest satisfaction will probably be better. Corporate is only worried about making money and can care less how annoying or annoyed their servers are.

    Advice to Management

The initial greet can be shortened to make the servers sound less like robots.
