I have been working at BJ's Restaurants part-time for more than 3 years

Pros

We have a brand and an image that drives consistent business and allows you to earn a viable income. Excellent operational standards mean that I work in a clean environment and I am proud to serve every item on the menu (and suggest a ten mile run afterwards Holy Calories!)

Cons

Serving is equally as miserable as it is fun. You have shitty customers sometimes and shitty immature managers sometimes but that's life.

    great team. great leadership by the managers. great atmosphere for customers and employees.

    Cons

    you end up loving work so much you forget you have a life. work-life balance kinda gets affected.

    I have been working at BJ's Restaurants part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Most of the co-workers feel like family. Easy training program. Some days, the tips can be amazing and worth working with some knowledgeable managers.

    Cons

    Management leave MUCH to be desired. They seem to enjoy taking out their frustrations out on their employees. Do no expect an apology either.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Please train your management to actually CARE about their employees. Yes, this maybe be just a paycheck to them, but for us employees, this is our job.
