    I worked at BMC Software

    Pros

    The company offers good pay and reasonable benefits. The work environment is generally stable because the company is financially healthy.

    Cons

    The Blade Logic management team took over the company and implemented a fear and intimidation culture. CEO seemed to let them do whatever they wanted to whomever they wanted.

    Good, people
    Good benefits.
    Competitive pay package
    Good products. Remedy, Bladelogic, Real Ops, Choradiant, Neptuny, ...
    Good territories still available
    Good sales training and product training

    Cons

    High sales turnover
    Good Products but not integrated so must sell lots of services to implement software
    Lack SaaS offerings so get beat by SaaS competitors
    Poor communication in company, especially between Services, Sales, Support, Product,
    Weak customer support
    Difficult to process orders

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Integrate software acquisitions to get better implementations. Develop or acquire more SaaS offerings. Find a way to get better customer support. Need better communication in company.
