Horrible and Frustrating

ProsTechnology is interesting and challenging to learn. The benefits and salary are above average.

ConsThe atmosphere is ridiculously political and filled with pompous primadonnas. Most of the employees take themselves much too seriously and management is frightenly cut throat!

Many in management who have no concept of the "real" world as they've spent their entire lives working for BMC.

Advice to Senior ManagementNever, ever, elicit personal information from an employee on the pretext of "helping them with their career development." I made the mistake of being open with my manager (on her repeated insistence) about a communication weakness that I wanted to work on only to have her turn around and fire me on the basis of the so-called "weakness."

Don't betray your employees even if you're looking to justify a lay-off! It's really bad karma...bad juju...

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

This place was a train wreck
