Advice to ManagementAdvice

I just wish systems were more streamlined and involved more current technology, like Mercedes Benz.

    Pros

There are BMW employees, consultants and temps - BMW employees get all the benefits; however consultants and temps are paid well. BMW was a great place to work and I worked in a good department with great management. Temp positions tend to be long term.

    Cons

No current opportunities for permanent jobs.

BMWNA a great place to work, once the auto slump is over

I worked at BMW of North America

    Pros

As a contractor, work/life balance was the biggest reason for working at BMWNA. I was very happy with my situation, my work, and especially, my manager. Morale is currently not great, as is true across the auto industry. BMWNA has a history of keeping consultants long-term. There are some terrific people to work for/with at BMW. You are generally treated quite fairly, but as always, this depends on your management.

    Cons

As a consultant, rates generally do not increase year-to-year, and no benefits (and no car!). A vendor management group was recently brought in - and this has not been received well by the consultants.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    hang in there. rehire me.
