I worked at BNY Mellon full-time

    Pros

    Benefits and Tuition Reimbursement
    Your not unemployed

    Cons

Overworked, underpaid, unappreciated, work is not evenly distributed. Employees who have been their for years are paid double but do little to nothing throughout the workday.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Distribute the work fairly. In yearly reviews avoid saying we have different expectations for different people. An employer should have high expectations for each and every employee. Otherwise, people begin to resent those who don't work all day and eventually leave.

I worked at BNY Mellon full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The BNY Mellon organization is moving from product silos to a more functional alignment that is improving client focus. The commitment to improve services is evident in investment in employees and key growth areas.

    Cons

The transformation initiative to date has been focused on location instead of employee performance. The firm has lost many quality staff to better opportunities elsewhere my not treating staff in high cost locations equally.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give more credence to job performance and less to location
Cost effectiveness can be improved without sacrificing employee moral
