I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

You don't see the knife before they stab you in the back!!!!
If your a great ass kisser and say yes to every thing your in!
Very diverse company, if you have special needs you can become CEO

Cons

Managment is phony and lie right to your face.
Not very innovative firm, stuck in the past.
Very poor low moral in a cut throat environment and most departments
A non American culture, high hindu hiring insourcing/outsourcing

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Know your employees for their skill set and learn some real managment skills. Managment is jaded and complain to employess about equals or higher ups. HR should use this department for violation practice.

    Pros

    You get real world experience that can help you further your career int he future. The management is willing to teach you more than what your current job entails.

    Cons

    The salary is less than par of other companies. The potential to move within the company is harder than what is explained to you in the initial interview.

    I have been working at BNY Mellon as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

    There are several opportunities for growth. They do monitor and promote often. Very professional environment.

    Cons

    I was there during the merger. There was a problem with getting new equipment that was needed to perform my duties efficiently. I never received it, and clients grew angry, and as usual, took it out on the customer service reps. They were more concerned with the merger than their clients and employees at that time. Still I shouldn't have left. Even today, they are willing to take me back, if I relocate back to area.
