“Limited upward mobility”
Current Employee – been working at BNY Mellon full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Great benefits and work/life balance. If you have motivation to move up, the opportunities are there, however opportunities are opened by tenure, not talent.
Cons – Huge company that's easy to get "lost" in. Slow to change.
Advice to Senior Management – Good strides are being make toward career development and performance management. But just because a person is good a his/her job doesn't necessarily mean that person would be a good manager.
